Why the Woo Works · for women entrepreneurs
You're the reason the money shows up, and you need that business to hold you up! So you already know what it costs you when your hand keeps absentmindedly finding your phone, when your prices haven't moved in 8 months, when that offer email sits in your drafts for days while you rewrite the same 2 sentences.
Your nervous system built those habits to protect you a long time ago... and they can be changed!
I work with women entrepreneurs who need their business to work, and who keep watching themselves do the exact things that keep it from working. I teach them why the woo works!

It's 4:30. Your phone has been in your hand since just after lunch, and NONE of your list is done. #EYEROLL
"So I'm not disciplined. (And that's the nice version!)"
Tuesday
It's been 8 months. Your prices haven't changed. You've done the math, and you know exactly what you'd say to a friend who was questioning what you're charging.
"Better to just stay affordable, right?"
By Friday
You've got 16 versions of an offer email sitting in drafts, with the same 2 sentences rewritten 40 times, going to someone who would probably say yes.
"So I'm bad at business."
3 completely different situations, and 3 completely different stories you're telling yourself about what's wrong with you.
When you sit down to do the things that grow your business, your amygdala, the threat detector that's been in the human brain since long before any of us had a business, sees that offer sitting in your drafts and goes:
"Oh god, there's a saber-toothed tiger out there and it wants to eat me for dinner!"
"Oh god, there's a saber-toothed tiger out there and it wants to eat me for dinner!"
Because growing your business requires actually being seen, and being comfortable with possible judgment.
So does saying your price out loud, pressing send on the email with the offer attached, and asking for the sale. Every single one of those is exposure, and your body was organized around avoiding exposure long before you owned a business.
So your hand finds your phone. (And it does it so smoothly you don't even catch it happening!) Because losing the afternoon feels safer to your body than sending the offer and finding out somebody could say no, or worse, tell you you're bad or wrong for offering. That call gets made without the vote of your thinking brain, which is exactly why thinking harder about your pricing has never once changed what your hand does when it's time to hit send.
It shows up loudest in your business because business problems come with deadlines attached:
invoices, launch dates, a waiting client, money sitting on the other side of each one. Anything that touches money gets your attention immediately, so the business is the thing yelling, and the business is where the evidence shows up.
Being an entrepreneur is one of the best self-development programs you'll ever enroll in. (Nobody warns you about that part!)
You. Didn't. Do. Anything. Wrong.
You're not indecisive, being dramatic, or bad at business or life.
There's something else underneath, something you can't see yet, and the whole job is figuring out which thing you're actually looking at before you reach for anything.
Sometimes what you need is a nervous system practice, the kind that gets your body out of threat mode in a few minutes so you can think again.
Sometimes what you need is energy work, because the thing in the way isn't information, and more information won't move it.
Sometimes what you need is a new determination, which is you deciding what you're creating and then refusing to manage the how, because that shuts down every possibility that was about to work in your favor.
The tool has to match the problem, and figuring out which problem you've got is part of my spiritual practice. It's also the part I teach.
I won't promise you'll find your purpose, make millions, or walk out of here and never have another problem.
What I do promise is a toolbox full of tools that work, and the sense of which one to pull out when things get tough. My job is to create independence in my clients and students, never dependence, because dependence is exhausting for you and it's exhausting for me!
What landed in my inbox
A woman who's bought from me a few times, emailing to apologize, because she'd bought one of my digital products and realized afterward that she already owned an earlier version of it. Her email read like she'd inconvenienced me. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.
What my brain immediately did
It didn't argue with that. It got organized. Go to the CRM. Pull what she paid the first time. Pull what she paid this time. Find the difference, then find something to give her that she doesn't already have to cover it.
Notice that my thinking brain never once stopped to ask whether anything had actually gone wrong. It just got busy being helpful about a problem nobody had confirmed existed.
I couldn't have told you what that felt like in my body. What I could tell you is that it felt like I'd disappointed someone and owed them something, and that feeling had my hands halfway to the CRM.
So before I took a single action, I journaled. Pen to paper.
When I read back the last sentence I'd written, I thought: hang on. Why do I feel like I did something wrong?
Because I hadn't. Nowhere in that email did she say I'd done anything wrong. I'd handed myself that verdict and then gone looking for a way to make up for it.
So I set a new determination, I didn't do anything wrong, and I went and found the evidence I already had for it. When she bought the original, that product was 2 pieces. What she bought this time is those same 2 pieces plus the new ones I'm actively adding. The product has at least doubled. The price didn't.
Then I answered her email and told her the truth, that nothing went wrong, what she did was perfectly legitimate, and here's exactly why: the new pieces were never part of what she bought the first time, so she got more than she paid for. No refund, no apology gift, no discount to cover a misdeed that never actually happened.
That whole thing took one journaling session. That's the practice in action!
"Before working with Melody, I was constantly in reaction mode, bracing for what might happen, even if it never did. She gave me the tools to reset my mind and body, protect my energy, and stay present. I can say things about how I feel and how I experience the world and Melody gets it, I don't have to explain myself. This shift has not only changed my life but also allows me to serve my clients in a more grounded, intentional way."

It does! Blind faith has never been the price of admission with me, because there are real and measurable things happening underneath a spiritual practice, and that's what I teach. The neuroscience, the behavioral psychology, and the quantum physics.
Your reticular activating system is the part of your brain that decides what's worth noticing out of the flood of everything coming at you. It's why the car you just bought is suddenly every third one you see on every road you drive. Point it at what you're creating and it starts handing you the opportunities that were already there that you'd been sailing right past.
Running something in your mind builds real neurological change, which is why athletes rehearse in their heads over and over. The body wears out. The mind can keep going. (And it works both directions, with positive practice AND negative practice, which is what you're doing when you run the worst version of that sales call 40 times before you make it!)
Your vagus nerve runs from your brainstem down through your chest and gut, and it's the switch between threat mode and rest. Pressure and tapping on specific points tells it the danger has passed, which is why you can be shaking before a sales call and steady 4 minutes later without having solved a single thing about the sales call.
You think and talk way faster than you write. So writing by hand slows your thoughts down to the speed of your hand, and that's what gives you room to actually see what you're thinking. It's also why you can go over the same problem in your head all week and get nowhere, then write one page and find the thing in 4 lines. (This is why I'm insufferable about pen to paper journaling. Now you know why!)
For when you're the one everybody else brings their decisions to, and you've got nowhere to take your own. It starts with your Human Design 101 session, pulled from your own chart, and then you have me in a private Telegram channel for 6 months for whatever comes up in your life or your business. You borrow mine while yours gets loud enough to hear, and by the end you'll know the difference between your body's yes and your head talking you into something.
In the words of women who've had a channel with me: "I just needed some place to put it all so I can get it out of my head." And, on the morning she talked herself into using it: "You know what girl, just put it in the app, because this is what the app is for."
